Default Regal

He is a multiple WCW TV Champion, WWF/E Tag team, Intercontinental (and European Champion).

People may not like him or be interested in his style of wrestling, especially since mainstream promotions need high entertainment value, but I think he has portrayed a lot of his characters/personas quite well.

He's had some good feuds throughout his career, and has also helped to train a few prominent 'younger' guys currently employed by mainstream companies.

Anyway what are your thoughts on this veteran, and what do you think will happen between now and when he retires?

I dont think that he could draw as a maineventer. I just dont see the "IT" factor. He is a good worker. and as you said his style of wrestling just isnt for everyone, like me.

Not regals. Regal is too much of a brawler. I really like watching Desmond Wolfe, he has that brawler thing but he also keeps it entertaining. I actually really like watching Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. They are both technically gifted and we are watching them develop every week

Regal can work with virtually anybody and is definitely a solid veteran that can be used as a source to help young guys. He just never had an M.E vibe IMO.

i wouldnt be suprised if he being part of ecw was so he can work partly like an agent. he's clearly in that finaly style role where he will make up the numbers when they need someone relyable, and other wise he's mingling around the mid card belts or mid card trying to get people over

Regal was a great heel when he was GM in Summer 2008. I'm pretty sure he would have ended up with a title run during that if he wouldn't have failed that drug test. And I do think he can draw as a big heel in the Summer months when wrestling is usually on the downside. Having a prick british guy going into Summerslam facing John Cena would likely draw.

They'd have to build it to where he'd have a chance to win though or no one would care.

I like him - met him in person before, great guy.

Yet when he does retire, i don't wanna staying away from wrestling - he should be an agent or join an company
