is that not the one with jbl vs eddie? coz that match is a fucking beast, rest of the ppv might be average as i cant remember the rest but if that match was on it, then its a really good bloodbath, and the promo at the begging of the dvd where jbl is in mexico on mothers day ripping into eddies mum at a house show and he makes her have a heart attack is classic shit to me

i think with ppvs from like 1995 and before that slow style pretty much is there for most matches, probs was a shit king in the ring though, but theres alot of ppvs that were good at the time that have very unwatchable matches due to the long holds and style of wrestling alot of the big guys used to do, probs why bret and hbk really stood out at these times as something special

i know quite a few of my mates who been watching for years and they normally not interested in watching anything before 1996 as it dont compare, dont mean they wont watch the good stuff, but have to agree apart from the obvious classics theres a lot of stuff that the bad stuff in the matches is just way to noticeable these days than it was when it was fresh the first time

mad seeing a video where vikkis kissing someone and she gets cheers haha

eddies mum looks like bob holness off block busters too i reckon

yeah i agree orange that eddie definteally over did the blade job, but still was a great brawl for me, rest of the cards forgetable for me definetally as i forgot it all , all i remember is that mad guy in white making some sort of debut, looked like he was some sort of spiritual wrestler like taker but must of flopped to fuck

With that kind of bleeding I think even a mark would know that a line had been crossed. I'm not generally squeamish, but the way he bled made me sick. I felt the same when I saw the blood squirting out of Joey Mercury at Armageddon, but you could tell that was a genuine accident (in that it they didn't deliberately want to draw blood).

Edit: and the Mrs. Guerrero / "give me a P please bob" blockbuster guy do look alike!

Yeah Eddie totally overdid it on the blade job, that just looks sick. Mercury was sick too, maybe even more so because his face immediately starting swelling up

well ive shown the match to a canny few of my mates who wernt smart and i had to convince them and proove to them thats what eddie did. few of them cudnt get their head around that they would cut their own head open with a blade for the benifit of the match.

see i have a few friends who come round every week or two who dont really follow it or that into it but dont mind watching it when its pretty brutal or theres things going wrong that wernt meant to happen. this is one match i showed em as i knew they would like it.

wudnt say they were marks coz they dont follow it but they deffos dont have much of a clue whats going on, had one tell us when i showed him some barbed wire ring matches between funk and foley that he knows they have prosfethic limbs over their arms and that so they dont really get hurt and dish fake blood out, canny funny some of the things that people who just dimiss it all as being totally fake think goes on, i think some think some techniques used in films for fight scenes are used .

some people are much dafter than you think they are for this sort of stuff - they have it in their head how fake it is, so when something with such a simple explanation of them cutting themself is offered they think its something far more complex and much faker
